Balanchine's The Nutcracker™ Audition Info
Community Cast Auditions
Children ages 8-16 are invited to audition for the opportunity to perform with Alabama's premiere professional ballet company in the magical George Balanchine's The Nutcracker™!
Alabama Ballet is one of six companies in the world licensed by the Balanchine Trust to perform this holiday masterpiece. Because of this honor, Alabama Ballet has brought the full production of Balanchine´s The Nutcracker™ to San Antonio, Texas in 2005 and 2006. Some local community cast members had the opportunity to take part in the San Antonio performances as well. This year, Alabama Ballet will again take its performance on the road but to a different location - Anniston, AL.
Children auditioning should wear leotards, tights and ballet slippers. Male dancers may wear shorts, a close fitting white t-shirt and white socks.
The audition fee is $20 per child.

Registration begins at 11:30 a.m.
Ages 8-12: 12:30pm - 3:00pm
Ages 13-16: 3:00pm - 4:00pm
