Each year, the Alabama Ballet produces two special student matinees of George Balanchine's The Nutcracker™. The school performances bring children from schools throughout the metropolitan area to the Wright Center, Samford University. Underwritten by Regions and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama, these productions give elementary, junior high and high school students the opportunity to experience the excitement of a live performance and learn more about the art of ballet.
