Robert A. Royce, Interim Ballet Master, received his early training with the North Carolina School of the Arts, Pacific Northwest Ballet, School of American Ballet, The Hungarian National Ballet and Burklyn Ballet. Rob has danced with Dayton Ballet, Cincinnati Ballet and Augusta Ballet, and has performed George Balanchine’s Allegro Brilliante and Theme and Variations, Ben Stevenson’s The Nutcracker, and Christopher Fleming’s Janis and Joe. Rob has choreographed full-length Alice In Wonderland, The Little Mermaid, Cinderella and Aladdin, which were seen at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He was awarded the Scotsman’s 2001 Readers Choice Award for Best Dance and Physical Theatre. With Alabama Ballet Rob’s principal roles include The Nutcracker, Firebird, The Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Spring Waters Pas de Deux, Don Quixote, as well as Leslie Browne’s Brahm’s Trio, Van Fleteren’s unRAVELed, Concert Fantasy and Balanchine’s Serenade.
