Our Staff

Kelly Allison, has numerous professional credits and has taught courses in design and production at several universities and colleges in America and abroad. His design credits include the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Southern DanceWorks, the 13th Street Ensemble, the International Ballet Competition Gala, the American Folk Ballet, the Horizon Theatre Company, the Theatre in the Square, the Carolina Playwright's Center, Actor's Express, and the Tony Award winning Utah Shakespearean Festival where he spent fourteen seasons. He has taught courses at the University of Minnesota, the University of Wisconsin at LaCrosse, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, The Hong Kong Academy for the Performing Arts, Luther College, Normandale College, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he is currently the head of Design and Production for the Department of Theatre.

Joelle Tucker, Stage Manager, recently graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a BA in Theater. While at UAB Joelle Stage Managed productions of Flaming Guns of the Purple Sage, Metamorphoses, and The It Girl. Joelle also Stage Managed for the 13th Street Ensemble’s production of Private Lives. In 2003 Joelle was nominated for an Award of Merit for Stage management from the South Eastern American College Theater Festival.

Ed Zuckerman, Technical Director, is proud to be associated with the Alabama Ballet.  A graduate of Wayne State University Mr. Zuckerman is currently technical director for the Department of Theatre at The University of Alabama- Birmingham.  He has also served on the faculties at Bowling Green State University, Auburn University and The University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  His coast-to-coast regional credits include The Palo Alto Players, Peninsula Center Stage, Charlotte Repertory Theatre, East Carolina Summer Theatre, New American Theatre, Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre and Riverside Theatre.
